Meet the Team

In addition to the below core members of the team, we also have 7 assessors and 3 internal quality assurers spread across England and Wales, allowing us to deliver qualifications and training anywhere in the country.

Ben Saville

Managing Director

Ben has over 15 years’ experience in the waste management sector, with a background in managing hazardous and non-hazardous transfer and treatment operations across England. 


He is qualified in both hazardous waste, mobile plant, health and safety and assessing in the working environment. 


Since setting up his own business he has worked with regulators to assist clients to clear sites impacted by industrial scale illegal activity, provided TCM cover for range of small, medium and large organisations for periods up to year. 


In more recent years he has been involved in the development and review of regulated qualifications, training and apprenticeships alongside managing a busy assessment centre and assessing learners in the waste, extractive and mineral processing sectors.

Karen Gooderham

Centre Administrator

Karen has spent many years in the Oil and Gas Industry, in a range of roles from accounts to business administration. 

 

More recently she has been involved in logistics, assisting clients with both imports and exports as well as managing the business administration and accounts. 


Karen began her full time role as the Centre Administrator back in September 2020. Her 20 years of experience in administration will undoubtedly be an asset to the Centre and the varied role of managing all of the daily administration, compliance with awarding organisations and liaising with clients and the hundreds of learners on programme at any one time. 


More recently Karen achieved the CIWM (WAMITAB) Level 4 qualification for the transfer and treatment of non-hazardous waste.

Russell Saville

Lead Waste Management Trainer

Russell has over 20 years’ experience in the waste management sector, with a background in managing hazardous and non-hazardous transfer and treatment operations, as well landfills and the biological treatment of waste. 


He is qualified in both hazardous waste, assessing in the working environment and internal quality assurance. 


In years gone by he has provided consultancy services to clients across England, assisting with permit applications, health and safety and general compliance.


For the last 10 years, Russell has been heavily involved in the delivery of waste management training, covering everything from hazardous waste, duty of care, continuing competence refreshers and the CIWM (WAMITAB) Level 4 Certificate in Waste and Resource Management - VRQ.

Stuart Reynolds

Internal Quality Assurer for Waste and Extractives

Stuart started his career in the construction sector before moving to waste management, where he amassed over 25 years’ experience and was involved in managing a range of facilities from transfer stations, the biological treatment of waste and landfill.


Stuart holds a range of technical competencies and is a qualified Internal Quality Assurer. He has been Involved in many working groups over the years some of which have shaped various aspects many of us can relate to from what to do when the regulator calls guidance, to managing compost like outputs, he was also a senior member of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management for a number of years.


In more recent times Stuart has played an essential part of the Centres Internal Quality Assurance team and is responsible for supporting our assessment team and also carries out portfolio review, Stuart enjoys getting out and about on site observing assessors to ensure best practice is applied and is responsible for ensuring everyone upholds the high standards set by the Centre and required by both CIWM (WAMITAB) and MPQC.
