VRQ412 – Principles and practices of managing an end of life vehicle facility (End of Life Vehicles - ELV)


This optional unit falls in the Medium risk tier of the CIWM (WAMITAB) Operator Competence Scheme. 


Specially designed for those involved in the storage, depollution and dismantling of vehicles, to include other modes of transport which fall outside of the scope of some specific legislation such as planes, heavy goods vehicles and ships. 


The initial training course covers a range of aspects from waste acceptance and rejection of loads, vehicle dismantling, emissions, technical and environmental benefits, problems associated with the vehicle dismantling process, records and much more! 


On completion of the 5 mandatory units and optional unit VRQ412, the individual can act as the technically competent manager (TCM) of the below site types: 


• End of life vehicle facilities (vehicle storage, depollution and dismantling)
